Collier County Emergency Management issues  'Public Safety Announcements' concerning imminent and actual emergency situations impacting the citizens of Collier County.  Over the past several years, organizations have been able to receive these announcements via fax machines.  We're happy to announce several services for disseminating these bulletins as graphics as well as simple text email messages over several devices.  Consider subscribing your digital pager or cell phone to the FREE emergency information service.  To do this, contact your pager/cell-phone service provider and get the device's e-mail address. One service, EMERGENCY EMAIL NETWORK is a redundant service originating from outside the region.  This FREE service, in addition to carrying important public safety announcements for Collier County, can alert you to information affecting any region of the USA that you choose. Additionally, by subscribing to The Emergency E-Mail Network (TEEN), you will be able to receive "follow-on" information about Collier County if you chose to evacuate away from the area.  No longer will you get frustrated by hearing "busy signal tones" when trying to find out what areas were affected and if the "all clear" was sounded.  This information will be relayed through TEEN if you subscribed to the FREE service.

Another service managed by the Emergency Management Department is "CollierAlert".  Through this service, the Collier Emergency Management Office can transmit graphic images about the hazard affecting the area.

The final list service we provide is the Tropical Weather List (CCEMTropicWatch).  This list automatically transmits National Weather Service "packages" as they relate to weather conditions in the tropics during hurricane season (June 1 through November 30).  This is not an interactive service, although through this medium, the Emergency Management office has the capability to transmit emergency information to the subscribers.

All the list-servers do not allow subscribers to send email to other subscribers. Only Collier County Emergency Management can send you email through the lists.

The primary purpose of this list-servers are

The list should NOT be considered a primary source for severe weather information, as the Internet can be highly unpredictable in delivery time for reasons far beyond our control. We highly recommend NOAA Weather Radio for timely severe weather information and emergency alerts.
