The National Hurricane Center issues bulletins
on tropical weather systems
four times a day when a system is active,
as well as tropical outlooks and other reports.
Collier County Emergency Management is happy
to announce a new email service
for disseminating these bulletins as simple
text email messages: at no charge!.
We use the Emergency
Manager's Weather Information Network, or 'EMWIN'
to receive the data directly from NWS through
the GOES 8 satellite.
If you are online at the time, or use a full
time internet connection, you
should receive these emailed alerts within
a few minutes of the time they are issued!
If you're interested in tropical weather, we
have the information you're looking for!
PLEASE NOTE:
CCEMTropicWatch will send you:
up to 4 per day, per storm, including: |
This listserver does not allow subscribers
to send email to other subscribers.
Only Collier County Emergency Management can
send you email through this list.
We will be fine tuning and trying to make
the service as reliable
as possible, and information may be intermittent.
It should NOT be your primary method of
receiving
tropical weather information!
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOAA
Weather Radio
as a 24 hour weather alert service!
To subscribe to our new CCEMTropicWatch email
list server,
