Welcome

Thank you for visiting our website. Our mission is to inspire hope and comfort in heart disease patients and their families.

Who we are

Mended Hearts, founded over 50 years ago, is a National non-profit organization affiliated with the American Heart Association. Our Chapter, in Naples, was established in 1996 and we are sponsored by NCH Healthcare System.

Our principal objective is to visit, with physician’s approval, and to offer support and encouragement to heart patients and their families or caregivers through our local visiting program.

Other objectives are:

To provide specific educational value to our members and their families through meetings and our newsletter “The Ticker”. Distribute information of specific value to the local community about Heart Disease and Stroke.

Meetings

Our Chapter meets on the third Wednesday of the month (except July and August) at 4:00 p.m. in the NCH Healthcare System Telford Center, adjacent to, and south of, the hospital main entrance.  Speakers include: Physicians, Surgeons, Nurses, Nutritionists, and Social professionals etc. who cover a wide range of subjects. Some of the topics we stress are diet, exercise, prescription drugs, healthy living, and a positive attitude.

Our motto is It's Great to Be Alive--and to Help Others!
